Proposal Processing

Preparation, Review and Submission of Sponsored Project Proposals

(Taken from University Rule 15.01.01.M1)

1. GENERAL

All University pre-award activities for which external funding, including University proposals submitted through the Texas A&M Research Foundation, must adhere to University Rules, and System Regulation and Policies. Any research proposal or other sponsored activity, where funding is from an external source, including proposals from Agriculture or Engineering programs, which involves University faculty, facilities, or resources (i.e., matching funds, equipment use, faculty time, cost-sharing, research compliance, indirect cost, etc.) must be approved by the Research Policy and Development Support Office in the Office of the Vice President of Research. Joint proposals involving two or more Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) institutions and agencies will be executed by each Chief Executive Officer or designee (CEO).

The Research Policy and Development Support Office, the Department of Contract Administration, and the Texas A&M Research Foundation, are the central University offices responsible for sponsored project proposal administration and acceptance of awards on behalf of Texas A&M University.
